How much time is involved in being a Co-ordinator?
As much or as little as you wish.

As a Co-ordinator how much support will I get?
A set-up meeting, member packs, police back-up, Ringmaster messages, newsletters, website and more.

How many houses should there be in a scheme?
As many as you can cope with, but 20-30 is ideal, as you need to be able get information round as efficiently as possible.

I see there are Police Commumity Support Officers patrolling - how do I know who is the PCSO for where I live?
Look at the current list of PCSO's on this website on the Community Policing page which also explains their new powers of detention and fixed penalty issue.

How can I find out who my Community Police Officer is?
Look on our page for information of the Harrogate Community Policing Teams or visit the North Yorkshire Police Website at www.northyorkshire.police.uk for more details.

We often have false alarms sounding all night - Is there a way to get these turned off?
Yes - it is the task of Harrogate Borough Council's Environmental Health Officers, and to shorten the time it takes, they are promoting a scheme to register keyholders of properties with alarms so they can turn them off without the Officers having to resort to forceable entry.
